Cafe Xpress in Salem

This is the most delicious place I have ever been to! If you come here you will LOVE your food. So next time you have a bad day... Cafe Xpress will cheer you up :))

Had the chicken curry plate. So much food for little price. Better than some of the sit down restaurants I have had curry at.

I categorize this as a true hidden gem. If the gem was a diamond in the rough. Don’t be off-put by the outside appearance of this place! Their food is spectacular. My favorite sub is the chicken tandoori sub and favorite plate is the tandoori chicken as well.

So many delicious selections freshly prepared. We don’t have just one favorite. Stop in or order ahead and see for yourself.

You will not be disappointed! My husband and I go here very often! Their chicken salad is amazing and we go crazy over their tandoori chicken sub but it is spicy! The couple that works here is so kind. The rush at lunch is busy and finding parking is sometimes hard, but it is well worth the wait for their yummy food!

Don't be fooled by the location. This place is awesome, probably my favorite place for lunch in Salem! Try the Cajun chicken sandwich. Delicious!

Delicious hole in the wall! I had the chicken tandoori wrap and the beet salad, both were amazing. I'd go again for a quick bite or takeout.

For a small restaurant in an out of the way location the food is amazing. I have eaten here several times and always been pleased. When my family come in from Houston we always have to include a meal from here.

This place is great. It is small and I think that is why the quality of food is like a 5 star restaurant. It's that good. I've ate at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and this little place is better. In my opinion . They are very nice and everything on the menu is great. Wish they were open later .

I personally love this place. Although the building is not very nice, everything else there is no short of amazing. I personally haven’t tried a single dish that I haven’t liked.

I've eaten at Cafe Xpress several times and have taken friends there,so far I've enjoyed each new item. This isn't fast food, it's prepare while you wait. You must try it!!!

Wow, for those of you that have rate it is anything but a four-star need some serious therapy on what you think food should really be/taste like… This place is amazing. You should all support local businesses especially this one!

Have enjoyed every meal and dessert here. The owners are very nice and courteous. Quality and flavor will have you satisfied and returning again and again!

Absolutely love this place, amazing food and friendly service. The cajun chicken sandwich is my go to, but every thing I have tried has been delicious. I have brought many out of town family members and they plan on making it a regular stop every visit.

There is no better sandwich shop in Roanoke or Salem. They roast their own meats, everything is fresh. I order two sandwiches, and even the next day cold, they're delicious.

Just looks like a sandwich place, but the friendly owners are from Nepal and come up with some awesome Asian inspired specials every day. I have yet to have a sandwich there everything else is so good.

Woah..... i would have never thought to go here, but someone recommended it to me. So i went; and boy was i impressed. The nice lady greeted me and was very polite. i ordered a simple curry chicken. I talked to some of the regulars there about the food while i waited. They say they love it and that they are stuck on the burgers. my food arrived after about 7 minutes. And it was a well portioned plate of curry chicken, rice pilaf and potatoes with green beans. The potatoes and green beans were cooked perfectly and had great texture. The chicken curry tasted great! The chicken was tender and delicious. The rice, as boring as it can, was actually very tasty. It was moist and buttery and not boring or bland at all. This was my first time going and i will be back again for sure! Excellent!
